I replaced my kitchen light with this and it works great and looks good. Installation was fairly easy until the end. Be aware you will need a long, skinny Phillips head screw driver with a strong magnet to finish the last screws to avoid a lot of cussing and climbing up and down the ladder. We wound up having to attach multiple extentions and sticking the screw to the driver with candle wax to finish Installation
when we finally finished it looks great and the little fan puts out an impressive amount of air

I would like to start out by saying that the actual ceiling fans overall appearance is very pretty. The problem is the installation, it’s very difficult to install. The box that is part of the installation, for the remote to work, makes it even more difficult to finish installation because its bulky and just barely fits. I wasn’t aware that this wasn’t going to be compatible with our light switch and only can be used with the remote control. The only way it appears that you can change the light bulbs are if you take the ceiling fan completely down and change it from the top….well who wants to do that. There is no way to do this otherwise because the blades and the design of this you can’t even fit your hand in to change them.

Nice fan ,one of the bulb sockets was loose and with bulb installed it is 4 mm from the fan blade. Needed to remove fixture and tighten.

Beautiful fixture. The install was actually pretty easy for the hubs, remote so far has been very responsive, it lights up a small room well for sure. But…..it honestly does not put out much air flow from the fan. So if your needing something that puts out a signifigant flow, this one is probably not for you unless your standing under it. Laying on the bed, i could only feel it very faintly. So if you are one that really just needs a fan for the sound to help you sleep, this one will definately give you that, for being a ceiling fan, its kind of loud in my option. Definately sounds more like a floor or box type fan. But if you really need that flow whipping across your face to sleep, this ones not for you. I need for the sound, he needs for that wind whipping breeze affect. So will probably be taking it back down. So keep that in mind when purchasing. Again. The light itself is beautiful and works fantastic. Would probably be great in a guest room. Just because it doesnt fit my needs doesnt mean it wont fit yours!

The remote for this fan needs batteries every 2 weeks. It hangs in the wall nothing touches it and you turn on the light nope more batteries. Sadly disappointed

As the title stated, I recommend 2 people for this job, as this fixture is really heavy and you don’t want to be holding it over your shoulder for long. Once installed though this fixture is just wonderful. It looks great with the aesthetics of the room, the lights and fixtures themselves look great, and the fan is no joke. I have this in my master bedroom and I can’t sleep with it on high. Overall, this is a wonderful product and has been preforming its job perfectly since installation. 5/5!

This is a review of the SHIHOT 18” Boho Nylon Cage Ceiling Fans with Lights and Remote.This fan is great for small spaces. I actually installed it in my tool shed. It has a unique look that deserves better but that’s the only place I need it. It creates a much-needed air flow without have to use floor fans. The remote is great too. I have it in a holder right next to the entry door.It seems to be built good and installation was very easy. As long as you’re comfortable working with electricity, you should have little to no issue either.

I just love it. The fan is very quiet. It only took 15 minutes or less to install. The friend that put it up for me said it was the easiest fan he’d ever put in. And he’s been a contractor for 40 years. The only down side was in ordering light bulbs. The ones that show up as a suggestion with the fan never did arrive. Had to go to Home Depot to find some.

I wanted to hardwire this light /fan for a bedroom. But it was impossible. You HAVE to use the remote. My husband picked up LED lights (35 watts each). WAY TOO BRIGHT for a bedroom. Love the fan though! My next set of bulbs will be smaller and probably NOT LEDs. I’d buy it again. Just do something a bit different with the wall switch.

We bought this for our small bedroom. The room has shorter ceilings and my 6’3″ husband needs something low profile. The fan looks great! The remote works well. The fan, not so much. If you just need it to move air, it would be fine. We want something that we can feel. If this fan is on high, you only feel a very slight breeze unless you are standing right underneath it. It is also very loud. Basically, think of hanging a small box fan from your ceiling.

Very mid century modern, it puts out plenty of air for a small to medium space. It looks much more expensive than it was. My only concern is, it does not put out nearly as much light as I would hope a fixture of this type wood. And you have to use smaller lightbulbs. It’s still very pretty and we are going to keep it in the hallway where it went up. It was very easy to install.

This thing was a bear to install. If you watch the video on the listing and think to yourself ‘wow, that looks so easy!’….you’re wrong. It took forever to get installed because the light casing that screws into the ceiling has a giant box in it for the remote, and it only fits in there if you pop it back together just so. Which sounds fine in theory, but when you’re holding a giant fan in the air while trying to put the box in just so and also twist the light fixture together, it’s a pain in the you know where. I’m still giving 4 stars because ceiling fans are always a pain to install, and after install, this thing looks NICE. We needed a low profile fan for our kids room since they have bunk beds and we didn’t want them hitting their heads, and this is the perfect solution. Still moves air nicely, and there are so many settings on the remote, it’s great. It also comes with a bracket to install the remote to the wall which was nice too.Note to future buyers: you may have to come up with some of your own screws as the screws that come with this fan are veryyyy cheap quality.

I bought this enclosed fan for my children’s room after we placed bunk beds in there. Kids, being kids, are prone to jumping and throwing things that don’t mix well with open bladed fans. My neighbors kid can tell you about that! Since the blades are surrounded by a decorative cage, nothing an hit the blades, nor the blades hitting my kids. Win/Win!Excellent solution. Recommended.

This is a very good looking, small, flush mount fan and light combination. It was ready to hang right out of the box. The instructions were clear cut and easy to follow and understand. It really moves the air for such a small fan and looks really good. The remote control makes it easy to use and the 6 speeds are convenient to control the airflow. The only drawback appears to be the hemp trim- it really attracts dust and looks like its going to be a source of constant cleaning.

I have this fan installed in my bedroom for 6 months now. The fan has worked fine and is solid and looks good. The remote however, needs new batteries every 10 days. Compared to all the other remotes in my house, that’s not good at all. Have bought Duracell Alkalines and paid top bucks. They last a week to ten days. Real drag replacing them every week. I have already spent more money on batteries than I did the fan! It will only turn the ‘lights’ on from the wall switch and can do nothing else…..without the remote. I have to replace it.

I tried 3 times to install this fan with no luck. The first time I realized there were no screws for the electrical box (they want you to screw it into the ceiling). I got screws that would fit and tried again. At which point I realized the fan portion doesn’t tell you where to attach the different colored wires (there’s 6 total). Still being optimistic I tried anyway until I realized that every time you need to change the light bulbs the entire fixture needs to come down…at which point I threw in the towel.It was beautiful tho…. thus the 2 stars
